Resume Resources: What To Leave Out
Just as you have sections that you must include in your resume, theres information that you should consider leaving out. This includes:
- Salary expectations and history.
- Personal details such as age, height, weight, marital status or health.
- Details that are not related to the position you are applying for, such as personal interests, social clubs, religious or political affiliations.
- Jargon or technical terminology that your reader will not understand.
- Reasons for leaving your previous position.
- You do not need to write "References Available Upon Request" at the bottom of your resume, just as you dont have to write "Resume" at the top. It is understood that you will be able to provide a list of references when requested to do so.
