| Sunrise Health Region has an opening for a Temporary (August 16, 2010 to August 16, 2011) Full-Time Addictions Counsellor - Diploma in Addictions Services with - Mental Health and Addiction Services based in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
Job Summary: As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, and under the general direction of the Director of Mental Health and Addictions Services and Addiction Counsellor – Supervisor, the primary goal will be restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help for addiction and/or addiction related issues by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery programs. Responsibilities include providing informational programming as well as individual and group counseling sessions with clients. This position will be expected to assess individual and group needs of clients and implement plans to help clients reach their goals.
Qualifications/Experience: • Diploma in Chemical Dependency Studies or equivalent as determined by the Sunrise Health Region;
Hours of Work: • Field Hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
