Description: An Electrical and or Mechanical Planner/Scheduler required for our client who is a leader in the power industry. You will be part of a team striving to improve maintenance productivity through effective planning and scheduling of maintenance activities and resources at our clients power facility. You will focus on utilizing continuous improvement in designing and implementation of excellent planning and scheduling practices for preventative/predictive, routine and forced outage maintenance work. As a key leadership team member you will report to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities: -Input and continuous improvement of the maintenance, planning, scheduling and data integrity processes and standards. -Assist Supply Chain Management group with initiatives for inventory reduction through reclassifying and cataloguing of material in SAP. -Support budget management and development. -Develop and publish KPI's and reporting for scheduling and planning activities. -Scope work requests for accurate routine/forced outage order and job package creation. Develop equipment mini files for use in future job planning. -Ensure notification/order standards are adhered to by all groups, operations, maintenance, planners and admin teams -While Scheduling/Coordinating/Supervising the planner plays a key role working with production areas, operations and maintenance leaders in the development and execution of fixed work scopes for routine and outage work requirements. -Own and manage the schedules through the facilitation of daily, weekly and forced outage work scope development meetings.
Qualifications: -Engineering technology diploma or engineering degree OR Mechanical/Electrical Trades Journeyman Certificate or Power Engineering Certificate with proven planning/scheduling experience or recognized planning/scheduling certificate program. -Minimum 5 years of extensive maintenance experience in a plant or industrial environment. -Demonstrated ability to use the Plant Maintenance module in SAP (PM and PS modules) -Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. -Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
