An established engineering consultancy firm is looking for a structural engineer to develop their Winnipeg branch’s structural capabilities. This is a challenging and rewarding role as you’ll be building the Winnipeg structural team and establishing market share.
At this level in your career you’ll be able to investigate complex problems as they relate to structural engineering and create unique designs & concepts to handle difficult engineering demands. You’ll have an in-depth understanding of other on-site disciplines and be able to identify integration issues before they occur.
You’ll be looked upon as a leader & role model to staff in various trades & disciplines. With demonstrated interpersonal and business skills, you’ll be expected to build solid relationships with other corporate branches, senior client representatives and employees.
In this position you will also be exposed to large-scale project management responsibilities and be able to understand the entire construction process from tendering through commissioning. You’ll also be expected to write & understand technical documents and detailed proposals.

Required Qualifications & Experience
A background in the consulting sector with exposure to Canadian Government regulations, policies and a firm comprehension of building codes
You must have a recognized civil/structural engineering degree
At least three years of experience as a certified P.Eng
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex economics as they relate to the construction process
Proven business development experience
Strong leadership skills
