| OVERVIEW:
• To monitor and facilitate quality operating systems to meet ISO 14001, QS 9000, TS 16949 standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post secondary education in mechanical or quality engineering or equivalent experience • ASQC certification as a quality engineer (CQE) preferred. • Five years related experience preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supplier quality evaluation, problem solving, supplier improvement programs, score cards , supplier audits and certification • Monitor incoming inspection, VMIRs, rejected raw material and supplier corrective actions • Prompt response for problem resolution related to vendor issues • Participate in effective communication with all internal departments as well as SBUs • Respond to customer concerns and ensure prompt resolution • Coordinate problem solving on programs for internal and external concern resolution. • Quality and statistical analysis of current production concerns and process • Focus on continuous improvements • Ensure company policies and company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are practised • Monitor use of statistical process techniques • Other duties as assigned
