The Sales Support Representative will be responsible for developing new sales prospects on behalf of an Accounting Software Development Company. The Sales Support Representative will initially focus on developing new prospects for the company's Marketing Director. Primary responsibilities will be to contact organizations, identify primary decision makers, and develop interest in the client's services. Secondary responsibilities will be pursuit of follow-up responses from direct media and internet marketing campaigns. Each new prospect will be delivered to the client's internal sales executive team for follow up and close. The information will be recorded in a contact management system with numerous data points collected, interpreted, and used by the client in their sales process. Secondary responsibilities will include delivery of appropriate marketing collateral to potential prospects and follow-up with potential prospects to develop the relationship further and identify other decision makers.

Required Experience: This sales position requires at least 3 years of professional business-to-business inside sales experience or technical sales support experience in the ERP/ Accounting Software Solutions. Preference will be given to applicants with direct experience in ERP/ Accounting Software Solutions environments. The position requires substantial cold and warm telephone prospecting, networking with contacts in the target market of corporate IT managers and IT executives, and initial rapport and relationship building with each potential customer. The candidate should be comfortable and knowledgeable when discussing general information i.e. Software Solutions, Strong communication and writing skills are needed. Additional background or training in an IT related field will be very useful in prospecting the target market.
