For more information about our Company and our products, visit our website Commodity Merchandiser - Full Time Position ADM Agri-Industries is seeking a full time Commodity Merchandiser position in our Lloydminster, Alberta canola crushing facility. The individual must want to compete in a fast-paced commodity trading environment. Our employees possess strong analytical and communication skills with the ability the adapt to an ever-changing environment. The position of commodity merchandiser is one of buying and selling commodities in the cash market, coordinating logistics, managing currency risk and hedging grain products in multiple futures markets. Much of a typical day is spent on the telephone providing market information to customers while buying and selling grain products. The office environment can be, at times, hectic as market information is shared verbally among traders in an open office environment. Commodity merchandisers have to balance risk management, customer relations, logistics, and various daily reports and office tasks. Commodity markets are influenced by a myriad of factors around the world. These include trade policy, supply and demand factors, weather, and transportation costs. ADM’s merchandisers’ ability to evaluate these changing factors drives the Division’s profitability. This activity makes the job exciting and challenging. Qualified candidate must currently be eligible to work in either Canada or the U.S. Ideal candidates must be completing a 4-year degree in business or a business related field with a minimum of 2 years experience.
