Sales Representative /Sales Agent

We are currently searching for an experienced Sales representative or Sales Agent to work full time or part-time. We need a sales representative to sell farm supplies in the province of Ontario.

The candidate will be visiting and calling on feed mills, feed stores, coops, tack shops and dairy equipment supply stores etc.

This is an unlimited income opportunity for a good salesperson. We are looking for a creative, high energy person who is driven by commission sales and motivated with top personal selling abilities to maximize call coverage and close sales.

Strong interpersonal/communication/ negotiation skills are required. Knowledge of the agriculture industry is a must to promote, develop and cultivate business relationships with key decision-makers and targeted customers; selling products, features, and benefits while driving for increased business of company’s product lines. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of success with an established territory and customer base.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The sales representative/agent carries primary responsibility for sales of Matelevage’s products and services to farm businesses and distributors in the Ontario Market. We are looking for sales representatives who understand and have a passion for farm business. The objective of the Sales representative/Agent is to manage the business relationship/selling process with assigned accounts across Ontario.

The results of this activity would be maximizing product sales, product penetration, and improved account relationships.

80%- Traveling to work one on one with customers to : build productive, long-term business relationships; learn about their business ; identify opportunities to help them succeed ; sell farm supplies product solutions; and manage the account to the benefit of the customer and Matelevage.

10%- Sales, marketing and community relation’s activities such as supplier’s meeting, community events, field tours, fairs, trade show or other promotional activities

10%- Work with customer database and account information and identify marketing opportunities, do territory plans.

• Build profitable relationships between customer’s and Matélevage 
• Interact with buyers and staff and influence their decisions concerning farm supplies 
• Consistently demonstrate excellence in sales, communication, and business negotiation 
• Develop tools and processes to enhance business. 
• Maintain detailed documentation of sales activities and agriculture information of the ontario market

Minimum Job Requirements

• Strong Agricultural background 
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in sales or sales support 
• Proven ability to network and build relationships 
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills 
• Proven ability to understand sales objectives and path to achieve them Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
