For our research station in Chatham, Ontario, we are inviting applicants for the position of Senior Research Associate. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 
+ Organize, plan and conduct field experiments. This includes site selection , coordination of all field activities, including planting, scouting, spraying and timely harvest. 
+ Collect data and take field notes 
+ Supervise crews in field trials and seed preparation lab 
+ Work independently in a team setting, meeting deadlines and oversee a number of projects concurrently. 
+ Be instrumental in the repair and maintenance of the research field equipment 

Minimum requirements include: 
+ BS degree or Diploma in Agriculture or related discipline 
+ at least 3-5 years experience in yield trial research 
+ strong mechanical skills 
+ class A driving license or ability to obtain one 
+ pesticide safety certificate or willingness to obtain one 
+ attention to detail and ability to function in a team setting 
+ ability to lift 50 lbs. and walk fields 
+ some overnight travel and extended hours during planting and harvest season 

Related work experience would be considered an asset.
