Established in 1994, RK Animal Supplies is a family business involved in animal grooming products. Our base has always been in livestock grooming products and we have used our 4H and showing careers to bring that experience to our customers. We have expanded our business to welcome beef, dairy, hog, sheep, goat, dog, horse and llama producers. RK continually test innovative products and fitting techniques to make the handler or groomer’s job easier. We recently launched the RK Pure Product line, which carries the RK brand and most importantly, does not include the Health Canada banned substance Methyl-Chloride.

As part of RK’s strategy of providing exceptional service to existing and new customers and the launch of the RK Pure Product line, RK now requires an additional full-time Sales Associate at our Moorefield, ON location.

This full-time permanent position will be responsible for maintaining a good relationship with existing RK customers, both face-to-face and by telephone orders. Sales Associates regularly attend various agricultural-related meetings and farm shows across Ontario, so some travelling would be required.

The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications and skills: 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Enjoy working with people 
• Shows initiative with good work ethic 
• Sales experience would be preferable 
• Knowledge of the agriculture and/or livestock industries and current issues 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and also in a team setting 
• Skilled computer user with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products 
• Post-secondary education, preferably in an agricultural-related program
