Contract Position (April 2010 – May 2011) Job Description: The successful candidate will provide support to the Marketing Lead in the Crop Protection Division by providing organizational, administrative support and coordination of marketing tactics. Duties will include: • Executing marketing and communication tactics in conjunction with the agency within budgetary guidelines
• Ensuring media and campaign goals align by working closely with agency and media buyer
• Ensuring legal compliance of all communication pieces both for Monsanto and partners
• Ensuring all timelines are met for individual projects and launch dates
• Working closely with Crop Protection Marketing Lead to manage promotional budget and to ensure monthly forecasts and accruals are complete
• Creating purchase orders and process all marketing invoices
• Responsible for sales tool delivery including promo materials, brochures, MLS central communication system etc.
• Ensuring crop protection division well represented at major tradeshows and sponsorship opportunities Qualifications: • University undergraduate degree in business or agriculture.
• Computer skills including spreadsheet, database, word processing, presentation development
• Creative thinker that can work well in a team environment
• Self starter that is detail oriented with a strong commitment to job excellence.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Agriculture knowledge or background is an asset but not essential.
