Job Description:

As the Field Services Manager (FSM) you will oversee the delivery of provincial-level distributed industry support services on behalf of the Canadian Cattle Identification Agency (CCIA). With the support of the CCIA Management team the FSM will supervise and coordinate operational services across multiple jurisdictions. You are responsible for ensuring that service delivery and reporting deliverable requirements are met in accordance with the contractual obligations. 

JOB DUTIES 
-Directs Field Service Supervisors and service personnel regarding issue identification and resolution as well as ensuring organizational standards. 
-Handles service contracts and directs support services accordingly. Monitors and implements all organizational standards and processes across jurisdictions. 
-Responsible for ensuring that all contractual obligations are met according to deliverables. 
-Participates in resource planning, budget and proposal development for service delivery initiatives. Assist in monitoring and controlling of expenditures; authorize purchases as requested. 
-Participate in a variety of activities involving travel between various jurisdictions (up to 20%) and to other related external businesses and government agencies. 
-Coordinates the development and implementation of CCIA goals, objectives, policies and priorities for each assigned service area. 
-Provides administrative support to assist the Executive Director and other support staff in the completion of their duties and responsibilities. This includes monthly reporting of detailed time sheets. 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 
-Management level experience is desired, supervisory experience is required. 
-Experience in developing budgets and financial forecasts, creation of service delivery proposals and performance planning is required. 
-Experience in the development of communications materials and processes. Creation and delivery of public presentations and educational workshops is desired. 
-Familiarity with the Livestock Industry and experience dealing with government officials and industry associations is required. 
-Effectively administering a variety of deliverables in a timely manner with experience in client service structure. 
-Familiarity with technology (remote access computing and intermediate level of software skills) 
-Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills are required. 
-Must operate a reliable vehicle, ability to travel in Alberta and out-of-province as required (up to 20% of the time) Valid Alberta Drivers License. 
-Leadership and results orientation skills, with the ability to coach, mentor and develop employees. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
• Related Post secondary coursework or certificate. 
• 4-5 years of experience in a similar position. 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS 
• Valid Alberta Drivers Licence
