Summer Agronomy Student

The Summer Agronomist position provides a great opportunity to gain first hand experience in Agronomy at the field level. Under the guidance of the Manager of Agronomic Services (MAS), the successful candidate will be involved in monitoring crop development, developing recommendations for local growers in the Edmonton Market Area, in-season training events for staff and pilot tours for customers.

Ideal candidates are working towards completion of a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and have a background in agri-business or farming. Applicants must be customer service orientated with the ability to develop good working relationships and the ability to meet and deal with the public effectively. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and management skills are essential. Computer competency in word-processing, excel and database software and a valid driver’s licence are required. This position required frequent travel.
