JOB TITLE:  

Feed Formulator TERM – 15 months DIVISION: Landmark Feeds

REPORTS TO: 

Brian Gerrard, Credit Manager LOCATION : Winnipeg, MB

The Feed Formulator is an integral member of the Formulation Team responsible for formulating feeds and providing superior customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Formulates feed in keeping with pre-determined nutrient specifications • Produces feed product labels in accordance with Canadian Feed Industry regulations • Identifying the need for veterinary prescriptions and collaborating with marketing representatives • Assists in the areas of product pricing and margining • Develops an understanding of existing formulations and ingredients • Develop relationships with mill, sales and service representatives and nutritionists

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:

• Bachelors degree in Animal Sciences or related discipline • Experience related to Feed Industry courses and/or experience preferred • Fluent in MS Office environment • Equivalent combinations of education, experience and training will be considered
