Cargill AgHorizons is the division of the company dedicated to creating value for agricultural producers, specifically grain and oilseed growers in the Prairies and Ontario. Cargill AgHorizons Canada has opportunities available for Sales Trainees. This position is the training position to become a Sales Consultant for Cargill AgHorizons. The Sales Consultant works closely with customers to identify, develop and implement crop inputs and grain service solutions. This is a sales position focused on individual relationships within an assigned territory. Approximately 80% of your time will be spent working one-on-one with farmers. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, energetic person who likes working with farmers to help them successfully produce and market their crops. An active interest in the business world and a desire to be recognized for success by peers and customers is essential. Individuals who thrive on maintaining personal accountability for achieving results will find this a very challenging and greatly rewarding opportunity.
 
Training: 
Working closely with your Farm Service Group Sales Manager and the National Sales Manager you will participate in an intensive program including one-on-one, on-the-job, and some classroom and online training, including sales and technical training. Normally an Sales Trainee will be assigned a territory within 18 months.
 
This is a salaried position.

Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree or diploma preferably in Agriculture or Business Administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication selling skills.
  • Farm background and/or minimum one-year related agricultural sales experience, (summer experience accepted) is an asset.
