SOW HERD SITE MANAGER A 2,500-sow farrow to wean facility, located in Bruce County, Ontario requires a Manager to supervise and participate in the daily operation of the sow herd, including animal care, breeding, feeding and health checks.

Responsible to the Owner, the Manager will oversee staffing, training, biosecurity, breeding processes, deliveries, maintenance, safety, production and record keeping; ensuring the herd produces quality pigs while netting the best return for the farm. These are high quality, newer facilities with good on-site housing, if required.

The Qualified Candidate will have: proven ability in swine production and understanding of the production cycle, excellent communication and people skills, proven experience supervising and motivating employees, excellent problem solving skills, experience in management role in an agricultural setting.
