This individual will be responsible for providing overall direction, management and supervision to all aspects of the branch. A high level of customer service and expertise is required to encourage continued growth in the Redfern Farm Services client base and company profitability. The Branch Manager will report to the General Manager, and would work closely with head office personnel. This position will have the following direct reports: Agronomist(s), Operations staff (FT&PT), Office Administration staff. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Operational—personnel management, policy adherence, assist in budget creation/monitoring, inventory management, assist in pricing strategies for location, on-time/accurate customer invoicing; Credit—credit grants, monitor accounts and address outstanding/near outstanding accounts; Sales—marketing, advertising, cold calling, customer contact pre/post sale, ability to “sell” the total experience to customers; Communication—provide recognition, staff performance updates, ongoing feedback, new employee training, continuous communication with team and head office staff, conduct performance reviews. Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role, secondary education in agriculture/agribusiness Skills & Abilities: Must have: Excellent written and oral communication skills, Clear understanding of financials/budgets, Management/leadership experience with people and operations Agronomic/technical product knowledge Have or be able to obtain Pesticide Dispenser Course/Cert., Amonia cert. Computer experience (MS office, Outlook, other industry programs Valid driver’s license Desireable: Inventory management experience Equipment experience Custom Applicator license/cert.
