The Agricultural Division Ritchie Bros. is the leading agricultural auctioneer in North America. The Agricultural Division specializes in the unreserved auction of agricultural equipment, real estate and complete farm dispersals.

The Role Ritchie Bros.’ Agricultural Division has an immediate opening for an Advertising Administrator to be located in our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan sale site. In this role you will work in collaboration with local and head office staff and with 3rd party graphic and print vendors to produce a wide variety of sales, marketing and advertising materials for our auctions.

The Key Responsibilities These are some of the priority projects that will fall within your domain:

  • Ensure the timely and cost effective production of internal/external signs, marketing material, and custom presentation packages.
  • Source reliable 3rd party vendors to provide maximum value; cost, quality, timeliness.
  • Budget, schedule and track ads across various media including: print, radio, catalogue and magazines.
  • Develop and maintain contact with various publications around the province for advertising purposes.
  • Create ads and sale posters for each auction sale.
  • Be the “go-to” person for placing print ads.
  • Work with head office marketing staff to create catalogue and flyer pages for upcoming sales.
  • Prepare inventory text for advertising and brochures.
  • Create customized handouts for sales involving real estate.
  • Generate and maintain targeted lists for direct marketing campaigns.
  • Work in collaboration with Territory Managers, Regional Manager and customers to ensure sale are being advertised appropriately to the target market.
  • Act as liaison between internal customers, writers, graphic artists and 3rd party vendors.

    The Requirements We are looking for an energetic, bright and creative person who will bring some fresh ideas to the table as well as some or all of these skills and attributes:

  • A degree or diploma in Marketing, Advertising or Business.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role would be great. We’ll consider someone with less experience who has a “can do” attitude and a huge appetite and aptitude for learning.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and production is an asset.
  • A background in agriculture gained through farming or ranching or through prior work experience in an ag-related business. A familiarity with ag equipment would be beneficial.
  • Proficient with Adobe CS3 and MS Office.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects effectively, to prioritize work and to meet strict deadlines.
  • Organized, organized, organized!
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime in order to meet deadlines.
  • Keen eye for detail – you’ll provide precise facts and figures and produce accurate work.
