Reporting to the Western Technology Development Lead, key business accountabilities include:
- Conducting small and large scale field research trials in seed and biotechnology traits
- Providing technical training and support to field sales staff
- Providing technical input to aid product advancement decisions
- Acting as technical liaison to key academics, extension personnel and grower associations
Required Skills:
' A Ph.D. or M.Sc. in agriculture or a B.Sc. in agriculture with at least 5 years of field research experience.
' Strong knowledge of key agronomic issues and western Canadian crops (canola, corn and soybeans)
' Ability to plan, execute and analyze data from research field trials
' Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to transfer complex technical information
' Strong organizational, time management and computer proficiency skills
' Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to excel in a team environment
' Knowledge of seeding and harvesting equipment operation and field trial design
' An excellent safety and driving record
