Position Overview:

Accountable for a variety of accounting, administrative, and customer service functions in support of Crop Input or Grain Accounting, Merchandising, Marketing, Crop Nutrition, AgResources and Farm Service Groups (FSG's). Performs routine accounting functions.

Principal Accountabilities:

Performs accounting functions i.e. customer invoicing; maintains details of accounts receivable balances, monitors purchase/sales contracts and shipments; inventory maintenance including inventory valuations, cost adjustments, write-offs and write downs; customer/supplier returns; prepares journal entries, security setup.
Completes reconciliations and summaries i.e. general ledger reconciliations; inventory reconciliations; regulatory reporting; analyze and/or balancing various P&L level reports; related party balances reconciliations i.e. accounts receivable, accounts payable, advances, rebates; reconciles purchase contracts considering programs and pricing adjustments; dealer inventory reconciliations; summarizes and distributes product pricing.
Works with others to define accounting and administrative procedures
Provides customer service to the business on information systems for Crop Input and Grain transactions
Monitors and resolves outstanding interface errors i.e.. Accounts receivable, general ledger, Wheat Boards

Skills:

Bachelor's degree or diploma, preferably in Commerce or Business Administration with an accounting major
Early stages of an accounting designation or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of integrated information systems. The ability to identify and recommend changes to processes within their accountabilities and work groups.
Demonstrated initiative, analytical & problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; good oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task meeting various deadlines
Ability to work independently and work effectively as a team member
