Position Overview:
The Grain Market Advisor is accountable for setting the recommendations used by FSG Grain Marketing Specialists in support of the FarmLogics Solutions product line, specifically FarmSense and MarketSense programs. Recommendations will be made by reviewing market trends through the use of technical and fundamental analysis.
The Grain Market Advisor will provide services to customers and FSG Grain Marketing Specialists through communication. The incumbent will be in contact with FSG Grain Marketing Specialists on a daily basis, recommending cash sales and futures and options strategies and providing technical and fundamental advice, margin status, hedging theory and trading strategies.
The Grain Market Advisor will oversee and write the monthly customer grain marketing reports and will participate on an ‘as required’ basis in customer seminars.
Principal Accountabilities:
40% - Analysis using technical and fundamentals of Grain Markets
20% - Communication of recommendations on customer grain marketing strategies
25% - Development of monthly grain marketing reports (Customer and Internal)
10% - Participation in customer seminars
5% - Participation in the development of new Grain Marketing Alternatives
