Develops and directs complex projects involving accounting practices to improve financial systems and reporting. Makes recommendations to improve internal controls and operating efficiencies. Position Responsibilities: 1. Analyzes, consolidates, evaluates and interprets financial information to identify problems and alternate courses of action. 2. Investigates Accounting systems, explores alternate methods of information gathering, reporting procedures and Accounting controls to ensure uniform systems applications. 3. Serves as leader of a task force for any major financial project that provides financial input and utilizes individual expertise to satisfactorily complete project assignments. 4. Analyzes, evaluates, and develops new methods that strengthen internal controls and proposes changes for improved reports to management that are complete, accurate, timely and increase visibility of the operations. 5. Works closely with Plant Controllers to develop similar systems applications with emphasis on compatibility. 6. As needed, serves as representative to provide analysis and financial evaluation to pricing, planning and programs developed for profitable product development. 7. Reviews and guides the work of less senior Financial Analysts. 8. Overall responsibility for the Saskatoon general ledger, reconciles and record keeping. 9. Ensure inter-company accounts are in balance; work with corporate accounting for reporting and interpreting the general ledger 10. Manage the debit memo process including correspondence with vendors and plant personnel. 
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business. 2. Preference will be given to candidates with related work experience. 3. Must be able to analyze, consolidate, and interpret financial data. 4. A substantial amount of independent thinking is required. 5. Able to work under limited supervision. 6.
