Job Description:
Scope of the position:
Monsanto Canada Inc, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba is seeking a motivated and talented ASP web developer to join our development team on a contract basis. The Developer will support the existing applications and handle all change requests that come in. As needed, the candidate will assist in the re-write into new Java technology. Current environment is ASP, Java, and Oracle database.
Responsibilities:
•Working with project leads to define system requirements
•Creating and/or modifying reports to support the business
•Creating and/or modifying intranet pages to satisfy internal business requirements
•Creating and/or modifying code to support business applications
Core Business / Functional Skills and Education:
•Education: College Diploma – Computer Analyst Programmer or equivalent
•Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
•Ability to work in a team environment
•Opportunity to work with multiple programming languages (ASP, Java, SQL and HTML)
•Strong written documentation skills
•Basic project management skills
•Analytical skills
•Strong problem solving, testing, debugging & implementation skills
•Strong communication skills
•Work with minimal supervision
