Job Description:

Acts as a liaison between the customer and the Canadian operation to maintain and develop a loyal customer base.  Work closely with sales personnel to offer support and ensure overall policies and directions are met. 
 
  1. Data entry of customer purchase order in SAP.  Cognizant of uncommitted product inventory.
  2. Communicate with production. traffic, purchasing, and other necessary departments to ensure timely delivery of products.
  3. Field customer inquiries (French & English), complaints, returns, and other issues, filing reports or communicating information to appropriate company personnel.
  4. Enter and update all customer special pricing in SAP.
  5. Provide Canadian sales staff and customers with product data sheets and product samples.  
  6. Provide technical assistance to qualify customer needs and offer solutions (i.e. product samples, customer complaints, product returns).
  7. Process sample requests.
  8. Communicate production delays, ensure orders are delivered in accordance with customer deadlines, provide customers with after order support, etc.
  9. Process special customer requests, i.e. packaging variation, preshipment anlaysis, etc.
  10. Monitor orders and invoices for discrepancies in price, products and quantities.  Issue appropriate credit or debit to correct any discrepancies.  Monitor customer data files.
  11. Perform clerical duties as needed, i.e. filing , faxing, etc.
  12. Flexibility to work varied work hours.
  13. Meet with customers as required by sales department and management.
  14. Assist in cycle counts, SAP maintenance and miscellaneous administractive duties, as assigned.
  15. Perform as back-up for shipping/receiving/warehouse (administrative tasks only, such as SAP movements, receiving PO’s, etc.)
  16. Provide assistance and fill in for Operations Manager in areas such as SAP transactions, ordering, traffic, MRP and inventory management.
  17. Adhere to all departmental and company health and safety policies and procedures.
Scope of position
 
Accountable for accurate, timely and detailed processing of information and orders.  At all times, good judgement and tact are important when dealing with internal and external people.  Must have detailed knowledge of most operational practices for the site.


Skills:
  • Must be bilingual (English and French) with excellent written & verbal communcaiton skills
  • Able to work individually and as part of the team.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Computer literate (MS Office, SAP preferred), with a high level of accuracy and detail orientation.
  • Must be able to handle multiple functions ar the same time and maintain good organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail
  • Minimum 2 years Customer Service experience, and or sales. 
  •  B.A. or B.S. degree in related field preferred, but not required.
